Job summary

Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisory-level position responsible for directing and overseeing a variety of facility, grounds, specialized trade workers, and contractors in the maintenance, operations, and repair of electronic and electrical equipment and systems.

This role provides leadership for installation, inspection, and maintenance activities, prepares cost estimates, and supervises staff with training and performance reviews; a pathway for advancement is emphasized

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience relevant/similar to the listed job functions or completion of a relevant technical training program or job certificate.

Responsibilities

• This position installs, inspects, and maintains electronic and electrical equipment, software, components, and systems and provides technical advice and assistance on the use of electronic equipment.
• This position also prepares cost estimates, purchase requisitions, and associated reports.
• Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
• Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
