Job summary

Jabil Wisconsin is seeking a Diagnostic Department Specialist to maintain and improve the diagnostics team's proficiencies and efficiency. The role involves diagnosing and repairing assemblies to component level, and using advanced test equipment to interpret complex documentation.

You will collaborate with Test Engineering, adhere to production rules, and may travel to customer sites for challenging issues while helping train technicians and prepare technical reports.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and basic geometry/trigonometry.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients and the public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient with Windows and PC software; advanced PC skills with company software.
• Strong reading, writing and comprehension of simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret graphs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair circuit board assemblies to component level.
• Use electronic test and measurement equipment proficiently.
• Interpret schematics, BOMs, EC documents, visuals and testing tools.
• Assist Test Engineering with data evaluation to improve diagnostics.
• Understand and follow production rules, policies and procedures.
• Occasional travel to customer sites for advanced diagnostic issues.
• Assist in staffing decisions and training of technicians.
• Prepare reports and suggest solutions to technical problems.
