Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in West Los Angeles, CA, on a hybrid schedule (min 3 onsite days). The role focuses on hardware design for MANET radios and R&D projects, including PCB/SoC work and EMI control.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in mixed-signal design, expertise with audio codecs, HDI routing, and FPGA/SOC development. Background check and drug test required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum six years of experience in mixed signal circuit design involving audio and SoCs.
• Expertise with complex mixed signal PCB design and HDI routing.
• Experience with audio codecs and audio power amplifiers.
• Experience implementing digital communication peripherals (USB 3.0, 10Gb Ethernet, I2C, RS232) at hardware level.
• Experience designing power supply trees for high efficiency and low noise.
• Familiarity with test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
• Must be a U.S. Person due to federal contracts, background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Component selection, schematic capture and PCB design for an FPGA SoC based system.
• Design high fidelity mixed signal audio circuitry with low noise.
• Define PCB stack–up, materials and design rules for performance and manufacturability.
• Hardware bring‑up, testing and root‑cause analysis on bench equipment.
• Collaborate with PCB Designers, Software, FPGA, and RF teams for system implementation.
• Ensure EMI/EMC considerations and proper isolation in high EMI environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
