Job summary

Silvus Technologies in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to advance FPGA-based radios and related R&D projects in a hybrid role. Based at West Los Angeles, you will design mixed-signal PCBs, perform bring-up, and collaborate with RF, FPGA, and software teams to meet demanding performance goals.

You will optimize power, EMI/EMC, and signal integrity, while adhering to harsh environmental requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in mixed signal circuit design involving audio and SoCs.
• Experience with complex mixed signal PCB design and HDI routing.
• Experience with audio codecs and audio power amplifiers.
• Experience with digital communication peripherals at a hardware level (USB 3.0, 10Gb Ethernet, I2C, RS232).
• Experience designing power supply trees for high efficiency and low noise.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to federal contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Component selection, schematic capture and PCB design for FPGA SoC-based systems.
• Design high fidelity mixed signal audio circuitry with noise immunity.
• Define PCB stack up, materials, and design rules for performance and manufacturability.
• Perform hardware bring-up, test, and root cause analysis on bench equipment.
• Collaborate with PCB Designers, Software, FPGA, and RF teams for system-level implementation.
• Ensure EMI is controlled and isolation is maintained in high-EMI environments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
