Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Green Bay-based team, purchasing electronic components for large, complex BOMs in aerospace. You will lead strategic sourcing and manage PO creation, review, and supplier relationships.

Collaborate with engineering and production, forecast needs with MRP, negotiate favorable terms, monitor supplier performance, and pursue cost-saving initiatives. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a buying role, specifically in electrical manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing electronic components is a must.
• Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• Strong knowledge of large, complex Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic sourcing and procurement of electronic components.
• Manage and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Handle the creation, review, and management of Purchase Orders.
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to support procurement needs.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and internal demand to inform buying decisions.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in the procurement process.
