Job summary

Milwaukee Electronics is seeking a detail‑oriented Buyer to serve as the critical link between suppliers and our Canby, Oregon production floor. You will source electronic components, manage end‑to‑end POs in ERP/MRP, and proactively mitigate shortages to protect production schedules.

This on‑site role requires 2+ years of buying in manufacturing, strong ERP/MRP experience, advanced Excel skills, and proven negotiation ability. ITAR eligibility and a related degree are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Proven experience negotiating pricing and managing supplier performance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled facility (U.S. Person status required).
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Procure electronic components, PCBA materials, fabricated parts, and indirect supplies.
• Create and manage purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Monitor open orders and proactively mitigate shortages and delays before they impact production.
• Expedite materials to prevent production disruptions.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements.
• Develop and maintain strong, performance-focused supplier relationships.
• Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve material issues.
• Maintain accurate pricing and lead time data in ERP.
• Support inventory optimization and supply chain improvement initiatives.
