Job summary

Innovative Aerosystems is seeking a Senior Buyer to support procurement of complex electronic and mechanical components used in aerospace avionics. You will manage suppliers, negotiate pricing, place and administer POs, and ensure material availability to support production and new product development.

The ideal candidate has aerospace/high-reliability experience with PWBs/CCAs and precision-machined parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years purchasing experience in aerospace/defense/high-reliability manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing PWBs/CCAs and precision-machined parts.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Proficient with MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities.
• Source and procure PWBs/PCBs, CCAs, electronic components, and other aerospace parts.
• Review material requirements and production schedules to determine purchasing needs.
• Issue and manage purchase orders per procedures and strategies.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through sourcing, negotiations, and value engineering.
