Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Test Technician IV in the Phoenix area to perform a range of testing on electronic units using prescribed procedures and test stands. You will configure, calibrate, and maintain equipment, interpret results, and troubleshoot to the component level.

Excellent reading of maintenance manuals and schematics is required. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams, and may provide weekend/holiday support to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience
• 10+ years experience testing from component level and up

Responsibilities

• Follow and improve Health and Safety guidelines for a safe work environment
• Test a variety of electronic units using prescribed procedures
• Set up and operate test stands
• Configure, calibrate and maintain test equipment
• Interpret and record test results
• Diagnose and isolate test equipment failures
• Troubleshoot units to sub-assembly and component level
• Read maintenance manuals, engineering prints and schematics
• Communicate work status to team and support staff
• Work solo and in teams to meet production and quality goals
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
