Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced electromechanical technologist for the ACES Center to design, build, and field automated test systems supporting nuclear security programs. You will assemble hardware, test systems, collaborate with design and systems engineers, analyze data, and maintain safety documentation.

Occasional travel and overtime may be required; onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 3 or more years of relevant experience.
• An active DOE Q clearance is required to start.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test development hardware and automated test systems.
• Assist test set up and pre-test walkthroughs with the 764x team and customers.
• Collaborate with design engineers, systems engineers and other domains for equipment, PCBs, cables, and software for controlling test equipment.
• Analyze test data and recommend modifications to components, test system design, or test procedures.
• Lead laboratory equipment repair and calibration.
• Create and maintain environmental, safety, and health related documentation.
• Other lab and tester work as required.
