Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking a Cleared Senior/Principal Electromechanical Technologist for the Light Initiated High Explosives (LIHE) facility. The role is onsite and requires the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to support daily operations and project work.

The candidate will design, integrate, and implement equipment and process solutions for LIHE, contribute to novel test setups, and ensure safe operations and high-quality data reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Laboratory environment experience.
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent to start.

Responsibilities

• Support LIHE environmental testing research.
• Design and implement equipment solutions for LIHE.
• Develop safe testing setups and operations.
• Set up and perform standardized and non-standardized tests.
• Ensure meticulous work with health, safety, and security considerations.
