Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Cleared Member/Senior R&D Electromechanical Technologist to join the Weapons Assembly Team onsite. You will perform detailed assembly/disassembly of weapon designs, lead work planning to control hazards, and collaborate with engineers and scientists on testing and production activities.

The role requires an Associate degree in a STEM field or 4+ years of related experience, an active DOE Q clearance (or equivalent), and a commitment to

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in STEM fields.
• Active DOE Q clearance (or DOD equivalent) with ability to obtain Sigma 15 access.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities; ability to write technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead or participate in work planning to identify and control hazards.
• Perform detailed assembly and disassembly operations on weapon designs.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to support testing and qualification activities.
• Provide field test support and maintain strict safety and quality standards.
