Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in electromechanical packaging and sensor integration to design, test, and scale mission-critical hardware across autonomous platforms.

Responsibilities include owning enclosures, creating 3D models, and supporting fabrication from concept through volume production, with cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related.
• 4+ years of professional mechanical design from concept to fabrication and test.
• Proficiency in NX, SolidWorks or Creo and modern PLM/PDM (Teamcenter).
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Hands-on prototyping and fabrication experience with root-cause analysis.
• DFM/DFA for future volume production in fast-paced environments.
• Defense, maritime, automotive, or regulated hardware development exposure.

Responsibilities

• Own enclosures, sensor integration, and electromechanical assemblies from requirements to production.
• Create high-fidelity 3D models and defined 2D drawing packages.
• Design parts for injection molding, CNC, sheet metal, composites, and bonding.
• Apply first-principles analysis and FEA/hand calcs for structural/thermal/vibration performance.
• Perform tolerance stacks, DFMEAs, and early de-risking assessments.
• Build prototypes, write test plans, and conduct environmental/dynamic testing.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Test teams and suppliers.
