Job summary

Blue Current, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrode Process Engineer to oversee finished electrode production from slurry preparation to calendering, ensuring quality and enabling scale-up toward gigafactory levels.

The role emphasizes process characterization, yield improvement, and robust QA/QC protocols in partnership with the Quality team, with collaboration across cell engineering and materials teams to align downstream requirements.

Qualifications

• PhD, MS with 3+ years of relevant experience or BS with 5+ years in batteries or electrochemical devices.

Responsibilities

• Execute and refine electrode manufacturing processes across slurry mixing, coating, drying, and calendering.
• Validate process equipment for rheology, chemistry, and dimensional requirements; select appropriate mixers and coaters.
• Characterize process parameters to define specs, tighten tolerances, and improve yield.
• Develop and monitor QA/QC protocols with the Quality team, including inline inspection criteria and acceptance standards.
