Job summary

MSP, a division of TSI, is seeking a Technician III Engineer in Minnesota to work on vapor delivery and semiconductor metrology systems. You will build, wire, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical assemblies and support controls/automation across multiple product lines.

The role requires a two-year technical degree and 5+ years in related roles, with PLC experience (Beckhoff or Allen-Bradley) and strong schematic reading skills. On-site work with travel under 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical certificate or degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• 5+ years as an engineering, electro-mechanical, test, or production technician.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills using electronic test equipment.
• Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with design engineers to develop new products and continuation engineering; contribute ideas on concepts, test methods, and manufacturability.
• Build and modify engineering prototypes, sub-assemblies, test fixtures, and tooling from drawings and BOMs.
• Wire and assemble electro-mechanical systems from schematics and wiring diagrams per standards; perform precision soldering.
• Assemble, leak test, and debug gas and liquid delivery hardware.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems to root cause using test equipment.
• Support controls and automation work including PLC/HMI changes and motion control.
• Assist in planning and execute verification, validation, and reliability tests; analyze data and suggest changes.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation; ECOs, BOMs, procedures, and test reports.
• Provide work estimates and communicate project status; help develop schedules and specs.
• Travel to customer sites (<10%) to support installation and field testing; represent MSP professionally.
• Work with vendors and manufacturing, mentor newer technicians and interns.
• Follow safety, ESD, cleanroom practices and ISO 9001 quality-system activities.
