Job summary

MSD (Meso Scale Diagnostics) seeks an Automation Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II for on-site work in Gaithersburg, MD. You will perform technician-level activities to support development of automated systems for consumables manufacturing.

Responsibilities include assembling, testing, calibrating, and repairing precision devices; building control panels; fabricating test fixtures; sourcing components; and contributing to procedures for assembly and testing, while upholding safety

Qualifications

• Associates’ degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience.
• Experience with prototype or low-volume electro-mechanical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair precision electronic and electro-mechanical devices independently or with engineers.
• Build and wire complex control panels and systems from drawings and guidelines.
• Design, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype systems.
• Source components based on performance specifications.
• Develop procedures for assembly, test, calibration, and repair.
