Job summary

MSP, a division of TSI, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to independently solve complex problems in the design, development, and manufacture of wafer deposition systems and related products. You will lead the mechanical portion of projects, integrating with electrical, controls, and software disciplines, and coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), GD&T, and experience with complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years of product development experience.
• Expert-level 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred) including large assemblies and detailed drawings.
• GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and tolerance analysis.
• FEA and CFD tooling experience (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
• Experience with sheet-metal, machined, and welded parts and assemblies; concept to production.
• Experience leading mechanical portions of development projects and mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Independently design and develop mechanical systems for wafer deposition and related products.
• Manage large, complex system assemblies with defined interfaces and BOMs.
• Design aerosol and gas flow-path hardware and components.
• Perform analyses (tolerance, structural, vibration, airflow, materials compatibility).
• Plan and run tests (DOE) and document results.
• Translate requirements into mechanical specs and support technical queries.
• Create and release 3D models, drawings, BOMs, ECOs, DFMEAs, and test reports.
• Lead mechanical projects, estimate tasks, manage schedules, and mentor staff.
