Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Locust Grove, GA is seeking an Electro/Mech Technician to support production equipment, apply advanced troubleshooting on PLCs, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, and MES integration, and mentor others in electrical safety.

You will monitor and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer and business needs, participate in TPM objectives, and drive continuous improvement while working in a multi-skilled team.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent past work experience.
• 10 Years experience in related fields strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read prints including mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building prints.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs and electrical principles.

Responsibilities

• Multi-skilled electrical mechanical technician with advanced competency troubleshooting and supporting production equipment.
• Trained on all electrical hazards and an advocate for our electrical safety programs.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with issues of intermediate complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of internal networks and MES equipment integration.
• Understands the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79) to enforce code that applies to all electrical installations.
• Evaluate equipment for any repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete work as needed.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished work.
• Machine implementation including rigging, leveling, facilities, testing and modifying as needed to prepare machine for production.
• Fabrication and installation of fixturing, guarding and machine parts; design, layout, sheet metal work, welding, machining, carpentry and painting.
• Repair of pneumatic drills and screw guns, routers, saw motors and bearing assemblies for lineal slides and spindles.
• Assist in the deployment of TPM objectives.
• Demonstrate technical expertise/knowledge and utilize root cause analysis methods.
