Qualifications

• Typically possesses High School diploma (or equivalent) and 4 or more years of experience.
• Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrumentation knowledge.
• Experience with PLC/HMI diagnostics and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Performs instrumentation and controls work, including installation, calibration, configuration, and loop checks of sensors, transmitters, analyzers, valves, and related devices.
• Diagnoses PLC/HMI/drive issues at the I/O and device level; isolates faults with schematics and ladder logic; coordinates with controls specialists as needed.
• Executes preventive and predictive maintenance and translates findings into work orders to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Conducts root cause analyses of recurring failures; recommends reliability improvements.
• Plans and prioritizes work orders, coordinates with operations for safe startup.
• Reads and updates technical drawings and updates CMMS histories and asset hierarchies.
• Mentors colleagues and shares troubleshooting/best practices; may lead small maintenance tasks on shift.
