Job summary

K2 Space Corporation seeks a Principal Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to own manufacturing development for large satellite structures and avionics. You will design build flows, fixturing, and transition to production, testing new techniques for high-power spacecraft assemblies and leading cross-functional DFM improvements.

In 6–12 months you will define production-ready flow, capacity models, and tooling strategies, while advancing manufacturing techniques on flight hardware toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or other relevant engineering discipline.
• 10+ years in high-volume, rapid production environments in manufacturing, integration or design.
• Experience leading first article builds and transitioning prototypes to repeatable production.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive manufacturability changes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end manufacturing strategy from concept through production ramp.
• Lead DFM efforts with design engineering to optimize cost, quality and scalability.
• Architect scalable production flows for large spacecraft assemblies.
• Develop and deploy advanced manufacturing technologies and tooling systems.
• Establish production-readiness plans including control plans and line balancing.
• Mentor and develop junior manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Lead first article builds and flight hardware integration, resolving cross-functional issues.
• Develop capacity models and rate ramp strategies for program growth.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle time and improve yield.
