Job summary

HID Global Secure Issuance in Austin, TX is seeking an Assembler III to assemble ID card printers and subassemblies in a production environment. You will validate CTQ features, inspect conformance to specs, and perform functional testing to ensure product quality and throughput.

The role requires following detailed work instructions, BOMs, and travelers, with a focus on defect prevention and process improvement. 3–5 years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Experience in high-mix/low-to-medium volume assembly environments preferred.
• Ability to follow work instructions and production travelers.
• Familiarity with BOMs and configuration-driven assembly.
• Experience with basic testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly of ID card printers and subassemblies following detailed work instructions, BOMs, and production travelers.
• Validate CTQ features including print quality, mechanical alignment, electrical functionality, and configuration accuracy.
• Verify conformance to engineering specs and traveler requirements via in-process inspections.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical components using standard hand and power tools.
• Complete product builds with high accuracy and proper fit per specs.
• Execute functional testing and detailed quality verification for performance.
