Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an Electrician Advance IV for the day shift to install and repair electrical equipment across manufacturing operations. The role requires deep knowledge of PLCs, inverters, and control systems and includes training junior technicians while ensuring compliance with START program rules.

Duties include reading schematics, troubleshooting, drawing and documenting complex projects, and maintaining safe, efficient production systems.

Qualifications

Experience installing and repairing electrical equipment.
Ability to read schematics and interpret diagrams.
Knowledge of AC/DC drive programming and PID control.

Responsibilities

Complete START Technician-Electrician IV training or show verifiable experience.
Respond to trouble calls and receive project assignments from supervision.
Troubleshoot relay logic and design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems.
Interpret electrical/ mechanical conditions to determine failures and improvements.
Train technicians at lower levels to perform tasks safely and effectively.
Maintain electrical operations for off-shift production systems when needed.
Learn and use Ariba to order parts and EZ Entry/TPM for work instructions.
Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and documented properly.
