Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Senior Electrician to join our Richmond area operations. The role maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, and develops electrical process control instrumentation to maximize production efficiency, with travel between quarries and mines as needed.

You will work under the Site Supervisor, mentor staff, and collaborate with engineers and vendors on capital projects while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in electrical technology or equivalent.
• Certified / licensed Electrician (preferred).
• One year experience in aggregate/mining or similar industry (preferred).
• Experience with PLCs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate in-house electrical repairs and upgrades for plant controls.
• Oversee electrical work from minor repairs to major projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC motor controls and drives.
• Research upgrades in automation to improve safety and efficiency.
• Work with engineering and vendors to meet deadlines on capital projects.
• Support safety culture and enforce safety policies.
• Train and mentor less experienced staff on electrical repairs.
• Diagnose and repair wiring, fixtures, machinery issues.
