Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Electrician to join our Maintenance team. The Electrician will maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, and develop process control instrumentation to maximize efficiency of our surface mining operations.

This role operates 100% of the time in surface mining facilities. You will coordinate electrical repairs and upgrades, troubleshoot motor controls and drives, and collaborate with engineering on capital projects to improve safety, efficiency, and plant performance.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree in Electrical or comparable experience.
Certified/licensed Electrician.
Journeyman’s card preferred but not required.
Experience with PLCs preferred.
Experience in the aggregate or similar industry for at least 1 year.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades.
Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and drives.
Research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune plant for safety, efficiency, capacity, and reporting.
Work closely with engineering to meet deadlines and complete capital projects.
Other duties as assigned.
