Job summary

Martin Marietta seeks an Electrician to join our Maintenance team at a surface mining facility. You will maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot, consult and develop process control instrumentation to optimize production efficiency under supervision. Travel to quarries is required.

The role requires a 2-year electrical degree or equivalent experience, and certification as an Electrician. Journeyman status and PLC experience are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Have a 2-year technical degree in Electrical or comparable experience.
• Are a certified/licensed Electrician.
• Hold a Journeyman’s card (preferred but not required).
• Have experience with PLC’s (preferred but not required).
• Have worked in the aggregate or similar industry for at least 1 year.
• Have strong attention to detail, a high sense of urgency as well as safety acumen.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all in-house electrical repairs and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and drives.
• Actively research potential upgrades in automation and fine-tune existing plant to improve safety, efficiencies, plant capacities, consistency, availability and reporting.
• Work closely with engineering group to meet deadlines and complete capital projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
