Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking an experienced Electrician to perform construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems across district facilities. Role includes on-site training of apprentice electricians and responding to emergencies as required.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of electrical repairs, reading blueprints, and the use of testing equipment, with a focus on safety and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Texas Master Electrician license required/preferred for the role.
• Completion of electrical theory and construction code courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, install, test, and repair conduits, panels, and wiring systems.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine routing and installation.
• Determine safest, cost-efficient methods for repairs and restorations.
• Operate electrical testing equipment to verify circuit performance.
• Lead and train apprentice electricians on-site.
• Respond to emergencies, including after hours and weekends.
