Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Journeyman Electrician License.
• Four (4) years of work-related experience in an electrical field.
• Must be able to pass the Asbestos physical and obtain certification within 90 days after the hire date.
• Demonstrated ability to work under general supervision.
• Ability to communicate with district and contractor personnel.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical craft functions using proper procedures and safety equipment.
• Identify and control hazardous conditions; ensure safety precautions before proceeding.
• Use test equipment to detect hazards and determine needs for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Layout and install electrical systems per codes; read blueprints and diagrams.
• Install conduits, pull boxes, and related systems with proper workmanship.
• Conform to district vehicle policies; report accidents or injuries promptly.
• Complete work orders, requisitions, and related documents.
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical equipment to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours call-outs.
