Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks an experienced HVAC professional to inspect, maintain, repair, and install district HVAC systems. You will lead on-site work, coordinate with team members, and train apprentices to ensure safe, efficient operation across district facilities.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex HVAC systems, performing preventive maintenance, and overseeing energy-conservation efforts. The role requires state licensing, EPA certification, and 5 years of HVAC experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in HVAC or equivalent
• Must hold Texas Driver's License and EPA Universal certification
• Requires Texas HVAC Contractor’s license Class A with endorsements
• Minimum 5 years HVAC experience and ability to train apprentices

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems incl. VRF, chilled water, boilers and associated equipment
• Install, relocate, and expand HVAC systems; fabricate ductwork and piping
• Balance air and water systems; perform tests and energy surveys as needed
• Manage materials, costs, and records; supervise apprentices and safety
• Respond to emergency calls after hours or weekends

Education

Associate’s degree in HVAC

Texas Driver's License

Texas HVAC Contractor’s license (Class A)

EPA Universal certification
