Atlas NextWave is seeking a Senior Electrician to join an offshore jack-up drilling rig in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable operations in a dynamic offshore environment.

You will work with generators, switchboards, MCCs, VFDs, and drilling control equipment, leading safety initiatives and mentoring junior personnel. Eligible candidates possess offshore experience and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Offshore drilling electrician with jack-up, drillship, or semi-sub experience.
• Strong knowledge of power generation, distribution, motors, controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced offshore environments.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair rig electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain generators, motors, switchboards, power distribution, MCCs, VFDs, and drilling control gear.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support planned maintenance programs and document work accurately.
• Assist with inspections, regulatory compliance, and equipment certifications.
• Lead electrical safety initiatives and mentor junior personnel.
• Ensure work complies with procedures, industry standards, and offshore safety regulations.

Senior Electrician - Offshore Jack-Up Rig (U.S. Gulf of Mexico)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrician to join a high-performing offshore jack-up drilling rig in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the rig's electrical and electronic systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and uninterrupted operations in a dynamic offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of rig electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain generators, motors, switchboards, power distribution systems, MCCs, VFDs, and drilling control equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support planned maintenance programs and ensure work is documented accurately.
• Assist with inspections, regulatory compliance requirements, and equipment certifications.
• Lead electrical safety initiatives and mentor junior personnel as needed.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and offshore safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous offshore drilling experience as an Electrician or Senior Electrician on a jack-up, drillship, or semi-submersible.
• Strong knowledge of power generation, distribution systems, motors, controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced offshore environment.
• Experience with drilling equipment electrical systems is highly preferred.
• Commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
