To work under the direction of the Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the rig electrical equipment and systems. The Electrician ensures all preventative and corrective maintenance is completed within the required timescale and in accordance with the maintenance management set out by the Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor and in compliance with Borr Drilling Policies and Procedures. The Electrician is responsible for ensuring all electrical equipment and systems remains functional throughout operations so as to minimize downtime.# # **Responsibilities*** Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor* Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner and responsible for correcting or notifying responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions which exist* Actively participate in and contribute to pre-shift and Toolbox Talk meetings; Observation program, weekly or special operations safety meetings and ensure any concerns or issues are reported appropriately* Demonstrate a personal commitment to Borr Drilling’s QHSE Management System; ensure compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), i.e. Risk Assessments etc.* Thorough knowledge and utilization of Company’s Integrity Management System, responsible to ensure understanding and application of updates, changes and working instructions* Carry out all maintenance and repair activities of electrical equipment and systems onboard the rig to ensure the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Maintenance Management Plan* Carry out electrical equipment installation activities* Assist the Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor in planning the look ahead in accordance with future operations and any electrical maintenance activities, and carry out regular inspections in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures* Update the rig’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintenance and rig documentation records to ensure all actions are carried out and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with Borr Drilling policies and procedures to minimize potential downtime for electrical maintenance activities* Ensure all lock-out tag-out procedures are followed and all hazards and risks are identified prior to staring any work on electrical equipment* Responsible for diagnostic tests and troubleshooting system faults and failures of electrical equipment and systems onboard the rig* Assist Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor with third party equipment inspections as required* Assist Chief Electrician or Rig Maintenance Supervisor in all emergency situations as directed by the operations manual, emergency response plan and the Station Bill* Ensure care and routine maintenance of all tools and equipment provided for company use and return all equipment to proper storage location and service/replace as necessary* Maintain housekeeping and appearance in general areas of the rig: specifically, but not limited to Switch Board Rooms, Control Rooms, Electrical Work Shops and Storage areas* Keep abreast of operational/technical bulletins pertaining to area of responsibility and ensure all requisite documentation is kept up to date* Ensure clear and comprehensive handovers are communicated to relief personnel* Personally achieve and maintain required standards for own training and competency requirements for job role* Ensure that entries on permits, isolation tags and logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment* Perform other duties, complete additional tasks and support ad hoc projects as required* Work with assigned assessor to complete Borr Competence Management System “BCAMS” and where necessary, identify any areas for development.
