Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking an Electronic Technician to crew a jackup rig mobilizing into the US Gulf of Mexico. The ideal candidate has offshore drilling experience and strong electronic and instrumentation backgrounds.

Responsibilities include maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic equipment; reading schematics; performing preventive maintenance; and supporting safe rig operations. US Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required; offshore experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have offshore drilling experience; land-based electronics experience considered for strong instrumentation backgrounds.
• US Citizen or Permanent US Resident required.
• Experience with electronic control systems, instrumentation, and related systems is preferred.
• Offshore safety and maintenance procedures knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electronic and electrical equipment onboard the rig.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with electronic control systems, communication equipment, instrumentation, and related systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe and operational.
• Assist with installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of electronic systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow all company, offshore, and HSE policies and procedures.
• Work closely with other departments to support safe and efficient rig operations.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident
• Previous offshore experience preferred; land-based experience will be considered
