Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician 3 to work on site in Phoenix, AZ. You will independently manage small to medium projects or contribute to larger efforts, overseeing testing programs and building control systems.

You will troubleshoot SCADA, Life Safety, and power systems, mentor junior technicians, and ensure compliance with NETA standards while coordinating with project managers for timely commissioning and startup.

Qualifications

• NETA certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, NETA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA standards.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Experience with protective relays, breakers, transformers, switchgear.
• Proficient with test equipment like Doble/Omicron/Megger/Fluke.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical testing programs for duty sites and act as SME.
• Lead or train staff to operate and maintain control systems.
• Assist in SOP development and operator training for complex systems.
• Use CMMS to schedule and track maintenance activities.
• Oversee SCADA, Delta Controls, and life safety systems.
• Coordinate with PM to optimize monitoring performance and energy goals.
• Provide troubleshooting and safety leadership during testing.
• Supervise testing activities and help develop schedules.
• Support ORM safety procedures and safety reporting.
• Conduct relay, circuit breaker, transformer and switchgear testing.
