Job summary

UNAVAILABLE is seeking a Senior Electrical Test Technician 3 in Charlotte, NC. The role involves developing and administering electrical testing programs for duty sites, serving as a subject matter expert, and coordinating with engineers and clients to optimize monitoring systems and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities include supervising testing activities, implementing CMMS for maintenance tasks, and ensuring safety and compliance with NET A standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant electrical experience with HS diploma or GED
• Valid/active U.S. work authorization
• NETA/NICET certification preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Develop Electrical Testing Program for duty site and act as SME
• Manage or train operations staff to monitor and update control systems
• Assist in SOPs and training for operators of complex electrical/building control systems
• Implement CMMS procedures for scheduling, dispatching, tracking, and reporting maintenance
• Oversee integration of SCADA, Delta Controls, and Life Safety Systems
• Coordinate with Program Manager to optimize monitoring system performance
• Provide troubleshooting and supervisory oversight during testing activities
• Develop electrical work and project schedules with Operations Manager
• Generate safety reports and maintain safety records
• Perform acceptance and maintenance testing of power systems per NETA standards
• Conduct protective relay testing, calibration, and programming
• Perform circuit breaker/testing including timing tests and Hi-Pot procedures
• Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis
• Ensure LOTO compliance and PPE adherence
• Maintain detailed test reports for client review
• Collaborate with engineers and clients to support commissioning and startup
• Mentor junior technicians
