Job summary

Texas Machine-Tool International, LLC, a Waco, Texas manufacturer and rebuilder of machine tools, seeks a senior electrical technician for an hourly, full-time role. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing machining, can read schematics, operate a forklift, and bring own tools.

Travel may be required and AS9100/ISO experience is preferred. Responsibilities include troubleshooting CNC tools, designing electrical panels, wiring machines, and providing field service.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing machining environment.
• Ability to drive a forklift and perform heavy lifting.
• Applicant must have own tools and toolbox.
• Some travel required.
• AS9100 or ISO shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and make electrical repairs to CNC machine tools and related production equipment.
• Design and build electrical panels to include transducers, switches, drives, power supplies.
• Perform machine wiring.
• Install electrical equipment for performance improving modifications to assembly machines and related production equipment.
• Provide training to junior level technicians in all areas of repair and maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and related production equipment.
• Work on special projects including moving machines, and installing new or redesigned parts and systems to assembly machines and related production equipment.
• Provide field service support to customers for repair and maintenance.
• Document repairs and maintenance performed to machinery and associated equipment, utilizing correct documentation procedures.
• Generate and implement maintenance procedures for assembly machines and related production equipment.
• Experience working with electrical engineers integration activities as required.
