Job summary

Slate seeks an experienced Sr. Electrical Switch Release Engineer in Troy, MI to develop requirements and manage Tier 1 suppliers for electrical switches, actuators, and sensors across our battery electric vehicle platforms.

You will lead DFMEA activities, review hardware with cross-functional teams, and implement cyber-security best practices to protect the lifecycle. Strong HV/LV experience and PLM release ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with low/high voltage systems.
• Familiarity with harness development tools (Capital, Zuken).

Responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements for electrical switches, actuators & sensors including interfaces, diagnostics and fault detection.
• Develop and document test plans for the required switches, actuators & sensors.
• Release the component Part Numbers in the PLM system and maintain release levels as the design matures.
• Lead DFMEA reviews to identify risks and drive controls to reduce failures.
