Job summary

Redpath is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and repair across the mining site. You will lead a team of electricians, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvements to performance and energy efficiency.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with engineering and maintenance, maintain documentation, and uphold Redpath's safety culture.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician with 5–10 years of experience
• Minimum 2–5 years supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree in mining/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians and electrical contractors across the site
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Ensure work complies with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Inspect systems for hazards and necessary upgrades
• Plan preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to support reliability
• Maintain documentation of inspections and repairs
• Support training and safety awareness for staff
• Recommend system improvements for energy efficiency and safety
• Comply with Redpath policies and SOPs
• Train and mentor staff on procedures and safety
• Monitor equipment performance and address issues
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections for regulatory compliance
• Address personnel issues within the shift team
• Manage employee performance and policy adherence
• Ensure training meets current and future mine needs
• Handle hiring, evaluation, and discipline of staff
• Possess valid driver's license and comply with vehicle use requirements
• Keep work areas safe and conduct Field Level Risk Assessments
• Follow instructions accurately for safe performance
• Adhere to safety directives and confidentiality
• Comply with all policies and operations
• Work beyond 40 hours as required
• Align with Redpath core competencies
