Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. seeks a General Superintendent to oversee multiple electrical projects, lead 50+ crew members, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers.

You will ensure safe installation, alterations, and repairs while managing budgets, schedules, and quality standards. The role reports to the Operations Manager and requires strong leadership, communication, and technical proficiency across on-site teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Four+ years in field supervision/management in electrical projects.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and tech skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise multiple projects and on-site field staff.
• Plan projects and ensure materials, tools, and equipment meet scope, budget, and schedules.
• Manage construction projects, trade contractors, and field personnel to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Review documents, plans, and specs; direct construction activities and coordinate installations and close-outs.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel as directed.
• Collaborate with HR, Estimating, Accounting, Finance, and other support staff.
• Interact with owners, architects, engineers, and vendors on project activities.
