Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial electrical projects in the Tampa area.

The role leads 50+ field personnel and reports to the Operations Manager, ensuring safe installation, alterations, and repairs of electrical systems while coordinating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include project planning, on-site supervision, document review, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Four or more years of field supervision/management experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Technologically proficient with relevant software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of multiple projects and field personnel.
• Plan and lay out work to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
• Manage on-site activities to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.
• Review project documents and coordinate field installations.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel.
• Coordinate communication between field staff and corporate services.
• Interact with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
