Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems Division seeks a Service Application Engineer to back customers and sales teams in the Central Region. This hybrid role supports travel up to 25% and offers a company vehicle along with a sales incentive program.

Lead technical solutions, pricing strategies, and proposals for medium to highly complex opportunities, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet customer and business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with seven years’ field service/proposal experience.
• Three+ years in application engineering, proposal development, engineering, or sales.
• Valid US driving license and ability to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of technical solutions, proposals, and bid packages for medium to complex electrical service opportunities.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to sales teams and channels for national accounts and data center customers.
• Analyze project specs, develop pricing, estimates, and scopes of work with subcontractors and vendors.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, and field service to tailor solutions for reliability and safety.
• Support growth of Eaton service offerings including power system engineering and digital integration solutions.
• Improve pricing models, quotation tools, and processes to enhance proposal quality and efficiency.
• Lead customer-facing discussions and joint sales calls to promote Eaton services and identify opportunities.
• Support project transition, track proposal performance, and maintain customer focus for timely deliverables.
• Participate in professional development and mentor junior team members.
