Job summary

NEXHR in Massachusetts is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical, troubleshooting and maintenance support for ASU, CO2, H2 and He plants, including high/low voltage switchgear, substations, motor control, DCS/PLC controls, and equipment up to 35,000HP. The role requires hands-on leadership in safety, reliability, and plant operations.

You will develop maintenance scopes, budgets and contractor strategies, review CBM tools, support EMOC changes, oversee PMs, and assist with startup,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7–10 years of electrical engineering in operations, reliability or installation of industrial process plants.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% (60–80 nights/year).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical electrical support and troubleshooting for plants.
• Develop maintenance scope, budget, and contractor selection.
• Assess CBM tools and review reliability data.
• Support EMOC changes with proper engineering docs.
• Review electrical PMs, work instructions and procedures.
• Support field ops during major maintenance and commissioning.
• Prepare electrical scope, estimates and execution support for projects.
• Supervise contractors to ensure quality.
• Train staff on NFPA 70E and electrical safety.
• Deliver electrical training at site.
