Job summary

Lumicity in Houston seeks a Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer to support electrical equipment and infrastructure across industrial gas plants. The role focuses on reliability, maintenance, and SME recommendations to keep operations optimal.

You will troubleshoot across ASU/CO2/H2/He systems, review data and CBM tools, perform pre-start testing, assess contractor competency, and approve PMs and procedures while traveling up to 40% of the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel 25-40% of the time (60-80 nights per year).
• Experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of low/medium/high voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, distribution systems, and motors.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical issues and identifying problem components.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Role:

My client is looking for a Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer to provide technical engineering support and SME recommendations for electrical equipment and infrastructure within industrial gas plants.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Troubleshooting and maintenance support to all ASU, CO2, H2 and He plants within the fleet for all electrical issues
• Assess the effectiveness of existing electrically related CBM tools and review reliability reports and data
• Perform full loop checks and functional testing of equipment in test position, prior to plant startup
• Assess the technical competency of electrical contractors and service providers
• Create or review and approve the application of electrical equipment PM's, work instructions, and related procedures

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Ability to travel 25-40% of the time (60-80 nights per year)
