Job summary

Messer Americas is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide technical support for electrical equipment and infrastructure across its industrial plant fleet, including 138kV substations, switchgear and motors. The role reports to the Area Maintenance and Reliability Hub and supports regional operations with CBM and EMOC initiatives.

The candidate will develop maintenance work scopes, review contractor proposals, and lead field testing, startup support, and documentation for major capital

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience in Operations Support, Reliability or Engineering and Installation of Industrial Process Plants.
Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
Experience with high/medium/low voltage systems and substations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical engineering support for electrical equipment and infrastructure across regional plants.
Develop and review electrical PMs, maintenance plans and documentation.
Support EMOC changes and engineer documentation for plant modifications.
Lead field support during major maintenance, upgrades and startup activities.
Oversee electrical contractors to ensure scope, safety and quality.
