Position Responsibilities for Electrical Project Manager:

1. Coordinate meetings and activities as directed by the V.P. Operations.
2. Manage schedules, project progress, shop drawing requirements, and material deliveries with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers.
3. Monitor project performance to ensure completion within schedules, budgets, and quality standards, in full compliance with plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
4. Assist employees in identifying and resolving obstacles to meet project schedules.
5. Work with Project Coordinators on personnel alignment and scheduling.
6. Assist in timely billing, invoice approval, and review of project costs and reports.
7. Conduct weekly project progress meetings with V.P. Operations.
8. Review blueprints and project documents to formulate management approaches.
9. Participate in project estimating to ensure projects are attainable within quotes and timelines.
10. Oversee subcontractors and monitor their performance for compliance.
11. Participate in employee performance reviews.
12. Build and maintain cooperative relationships with managers, supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
13. Perform routine inspections to verify scope, specifications, standards, and code compliance.
14. Maintain knowledge of building construction and electrical formulas.
15. Plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
16. Document project situations accurately and timely.
17. Follow NEC, state, and local codes.
18. Manage work behavior and adapt management style as needed.
19. Maintain knowledge of security, fire alarm, process control, environmental systems, and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical work.
20. Enforce OSHA requirements.
21. Report accidents or incidents promptly.
22. Inspect subcontractor performance and assist in project closeouts.
23. Develop new business relationships and maintain existing ones through community and professional engagement.
24. Utilize company estimating software for change orders and estimates.
25. Participate in ongoing training.

Experience and Qualification Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years experience in commercial and/or residential electrical fields.
• Experience in new construction.
• Valid driver’s license.

Qualification Requirements:

• Knowledge of multi-family projects.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, lift as required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to use arms and hands for signaling, grabbing, holding, and operating tools.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights, climb ladders and scaffolds with fall protection.
• Work in all weather conditions wearing PPE.
• Wear required PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, vests, gloves, and safety boots.
