Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate meetings and activities as directed by the VP of Operations.
- Manage schedules, project progress, shop drawings, and material deliveries with supervisors, trade contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project performance to ensure completion within schedule, budget, and quality standards, complying with all plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Assist employees in identifying and resolving obstacles to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with Project Coordinators on personnel and scheduling.
- Oversee billing, invoice approval, and review of project costs and reports.
- Communicate weekly project updates with the VP of Operations.
- Review and interpret blueprints and project documents for management planning.
- Participate in project estimating to ensure project attainability within quotes and timelines.
- Supervise subcontractors and monitor their performance for compliance.
- Conduct employee performance reviews.
- Foster cooperative relationships with team members and clients.
- Perform routine inspections to verify scope, specifications, and code compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of construction methods and electrical formulas.
- Plan tasks to meet deadlines and document project situations accurately.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local, and state codes.
- Manage work behavior and adapt to schedule changes.
- Maintain knowledge of related systems (security, fire alarms, HVAC, etc.).
- Enforce OSHA requirements and safety practices.
- Inspect subcontractor work and assist in project closeouts.
- Develop new business relationships and maintain existing ones through community and professional engagement.
- Use company estimating software for change orders and estimates.
- Participate in ongoing training to update skills.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial and/or residential electrical fields.
- Experience with new construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of multi-family projects.
- Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Capability to use arms and hands for signaling, grabbing, holding, turning, pushing, and pulling objects and tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and work off platforms with fall protection.
- Work in various weather conditions with appropriate PPE.
- Wearing PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks, hi-vis vests, gloves, and safety boots.
