Miller Electric is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial electrical construction projects in Richmond, VA. You will report to the Director and VP, manage project financials, schedule, and client relationships, and ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Project Manager over commercial electrical work.
• Proven experience managing electrical construction projects up to $10M.
• Experience preparing take-offs and estimates for change orders.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills.
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time.
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (PM, Construction Management, Eng).
• Journeyman or master electrician’s license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Financials for the Project: manage costs, revenue, margin, and performance metrics.
• Estimating and change orders: prepare estimates, coordinate quotes, negotiate changes.
• Scheduling: align with GC schedule, pull planning, use scheduling software.
• VDC and Preconstruction: 2D/3D modeling, prefabrication, Trimble, VDC team alignment.
• Leadership: manage customers, vendors, subs, and Miller team; develop talent.
• Regular cross-office and regional communication.
• Follow documented processes and use technology platforms.
• Maintain customer relationships balancing company needs.
