Miller Electric Company in Richmond, VA, is hiring a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. You will develop project estimates from take-off through bid hand-off, coordinate with project managers, engineers, and vendors, and support pre-bid activities.

The role emphasizes accuracy under deadlines, knowledge of NEC and low voltage systems, and strong communication. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, 401k matching, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of electrical estimating experience with a high school diploma.
• 6–8 years with an Associate degree.
• 2–4 years with a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost estimates from take-off stage to bid hand-off, working closely with the Project Manager assigned to the project.
• Develops cost estimates for change orders, as needed.
• Analyzes material, labor, equipment, and other requirements to complete a project.
• Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings, as well as job walks when necessary.
• Prepares detailed scope letters.
• Reading & thoroughly understanding blueprints.
• Meets with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers.
• Contacts vendors and subcontractors for pricing.
• Ability to coordinate and organize other estimators
• Other duties as assigned.
