Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead large, complex electrical construction projects for a strong local backlog. This role focuses on ownership of budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability within the local Chicago market.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of electrical construction experience and a proven track record managing commercial/industrial projects, with strong leadership and communication skills to mentor project teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Strong Senior Project Manager experience.
• Extensive commercial/industrial electrical background.
• Experience managing large and complex electrical projects.
• Strong financial and contract management experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and complex electrical construction projects from start to finish
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability
• Lead project planning and execution
• Review plans, specifications, scopes, and contract requirements
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents, Foremen, customers, General Contractors, and vendors
• Monitor project financial performance and costs
• Maintain strong customer and contractor relationships
• Identify project risks and develop solutions
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers and project teams
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and profitably
