Job summary

ABB Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Factory Project Controller to lead mid-size projects ($500K–$5M) for 38kV Switchgear. You will coordinate with the proposal team, manage the order-cycle, control project costs, and drive on-time delivery while collaborating with a diverse, global team.

This hybrid role reports to the Manufacturing Unit Manager. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in electrification/manufacturing or PM, strong SAP/MS Office skills, and willingness to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years in Electrification, Manufacturing or Project Management.
Knowledge of Project Management disciplines and process.
Experience working in a global business environment.
Ability to read electrical diagrams and knowledge of power systems and protection.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Project and SAP.
Travel approximately 5%.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Engage with the proposal team to review orders from technical and commercial standpoints during order entry.
Serve as primary contact for all order-related matters; manage the entire order cycle including scheduling, drawings, shop execution, shipping, invoicing, and closeout.
Monitor and control project financials—costs, expenses, cash flow; support invoicing and margin opportunities; resolve disputes as needed.
Identify, qualify, quantify and manage risk; pursue opportunities and ensure project deliverables meet requirements.
