Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Electrical Senior Project Engineer to lead electrical design and project delivery for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across multiple locations. This role focuses on power systems, instrumentation & controls, and SCADA while guiding multidisciplinary teams from planning through construction to ensure quality and long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of electrical system design experience.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution, lighting, I&C, SCADA, and related standards.
• Ability to lead and mentor mid-level and senior staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel and occasionally work evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design and project delivery for complex infrastructure projects
• Serve as the technical lead across power distribution, lighting, I&C, and SCADA systems
• Manage projects from planning through construction (scope, schedule, budget, quality)
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development
• Provide QA/QC oversight on electrical designs, drawings, and specifications
• Mentor and guide electrical engineers and technical staff
• Collaborate across disciplines and with subconsultants to deliver integrated solutions
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve electrical system performance
