Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team in Denver. You will perform electrical systems design for building construction, initiate designs, and help achieve project goals. You may lead meetings and assume project engineering responsibilities with minimal guidance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to engage with clients while ensuring quality and coordination across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
• Current PE in the United States required.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes.
• Ability to work independently with no oversight or guidance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a critical thinker and highly analytical.
• Able to engage effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering systems design for building construction and initiate project designs.
• Lead or participate in project teamwork planning sessions.
• May serve as project manager or project engineering leader and lead meetings.
• Prepare construction documents including drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders for construction documents.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and observe progress.
