Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to serve as senior technical lead for planning, design, and execution of electrical building systems.

This role blends advanced design with project leadership, client coordination, and mentorship responsibilities. You will lead design efforts, review calculations, manage budgets and schedules, and interface with clients, architects, and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license is required.
• 8–12+ years of electrical design experience for building systems.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design for building projects including service distribution, power, lighting and related systems.
• Own discipline deliverables from schematic through construction.
• Prepare and review calculations, equipment selections, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and priorities with PMs and leaders.
• Interface with clients, architects, and contractors to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
• Mentor junior engineers and support development of standards.
